Nelliyampathy hills are an enchanting destination. The scenic beauty of this place is mesmerising, which is the reason why this destination is one of the most popular tourist attraction in the district. The hills here are of varying heights ranging from 467 metres to 1572 metres so that you can experience the continuous variation in climate as well. The pleasant atmosphere of Nalliyampathy along with its enchanting landscapes make it the perfect place for a quaint holiday.

To reach the Nalliyampathy Hills, you need to drive up from the town of Nenmara. The drive itself is worth a mention, and you will find fragrant gardens of cardamom, coffee and tea all along the way. These hills are also well known for their delicious oranges, so do make a stop at one of the plantations and get a taste.

You will also find some beautiful houses and resorts on the way up, and against the backdrop of the hills, these look like they’ve been pulled straight out of a fairytale. However, the most rewarding experience here would be the view from the top, where you can see fluffy clouds atop your head and the mountain roads with its carpets of delicious teas and coffees. It also offers a splendid view of the Palakkad Gap, which is a geographical phenomenon in the Western Ghats formation in this region, bringing into view, parts of the adjoining State of Tamil Nadu.
