DAY 1: ARRIVAL COCHIN – MUNNAR [4HRS/135KM]
Arrive in Cochin. One of our TourzIndia representatives will receive you at either the Cochin International airport or Ernakulam Railway Station or the Bus Station (depending on your mode of travel).
Drive to Munnar. The nature with its enthralling beauy is sure to amaze you on this drive from Cochin to Munnar. Enroute you will be visiting the two beautiful waterfalls: Cheyyappara Waterfalls & Valara waterfalls.
You will see tea estates spread all around over hundreds of kilometers of green, plush carpet.
Fun Fact: Tata Tea covers most of this area.
The lush green hills will provide amazing views that are best seen and not heard. You are going to a place with almost no pollution and populated sparsely.
You can check in at the hotel on your arrival and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay. -

DAY 2 : MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING
After a hearty breakfast, you and your family will set out for a sightseeing tour of Munnar.
This tour will start off with a drive up to the Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai mountain), followed by the Mattupetty Dam, Tea Estates, Echo-point, Spice plantation, Rose Garden, Photo point, Tea Museum, Blossom Park, Kundale Dam and ending off with the Top Station.
You can also enjoy boating in the lake, rock climbing and trekking (all optional). Return to the hotel in the evening. You can enjoy rest of the day at the hotel and relax. -

DAY 3 : MUNNAR – THEKKADY [2.5HRS/90KM]
After a delicious breakfast, you will start off on a picturesque drive to Thekkady. This journey will take you through mist-capped mountains, spice plantations and open grasslands.
When you reach, you can check into the hotel. After you have relaxed for some time, it is time to leave to enjoy the wildlife safari through the Periyar Tiger Reserve.
Fun Fact: Periyar Tiger Reserve in Thekkady spreads across 777 sq. Kms. Of which, around 360 sq. Kms is a thick evergreen forest. This sanctuary was declared a Tiger reserve in 1978 as it is acclaimed for its geomorphology, wild life diversity and breath-taking scenery.
You can also opt for a boating at the Periyar Lake, Jeep Safari, Spice Plantation visit and Elephant ride, all at an extra cost. Once all the activities are over, you can spend a soothing night at your hotel in Thekkady. -

DAY 4: ALLEPPEY HOUSEBOAT
After a relaxing sleep and breakfast, it is time for you to drive off to Alleppey and experience the Kerala Backwaters in a houseboat.
Fun Fact: Alleppey is also called the ‘Venice of the East’.
You can check-in to a houseboat arranged by us. You will be greeted with a welcome drink. You will be provided tea, snacks, mineral water, lunch, dinner and finally, breakfast (the next day).
While you cruise around the backwaters, let yourself get carried away by the beauty that surrounds you: the bowed-down paddy fields, the local inhabitants, rustic homes, the ancient churches and temples and the swaying coconut groves.
You can go to sleep in the middle of the lake under the nascent night sky. -

DAY 5: ALLEPPEY – KOVALAM [4HRS /16OKM]
Drive to Kovalam. After Breakfast, you can start off on a drive to Kovalam Beach. You will reach there in the afternoon and once you have checked in at the hotel, you can relax for sometime. Sightseeing Tour. You can visit the famous beaches here. Kovalam is known for its Light House beach and Howah beach. The lovely coconut trees are a beautiful sight, fringing with the golden sand. After this beautiful sightseeing tour, you can return to your hotel and have a relaxing sleep.

DAY 6: KOVALAM – KANYAKUMARI – KOVALAM
Drive to Trivandrum. After breakfast, you can start off on a day trip Kanyakumari. Fun Fact: Kanyakumari is also knowns as the ‘Sunrise Point’. Sightseeing Tour. You can start this sightseeing trip by visiting Thiruvalluvar Statue, Vattakottai Fort, Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Lady of Ransom Church. After this amazing tour, you will return to your hotel in Kovalam and have a great relaxing sleep.

DAY 7: KOVALAM-TRIVANDRUM DEPARTURE
After a hearty breakfast, you can checkout from the hotel and proceed to Thiruvananthapuram International airport / Railway Station. You can now return home filled with beautiful memories of your Grand Kerala Tour.
